AI-generated content is now indistinguishable from human writing at a glance. Whether you're reviewing a manuscript submission, judging a literary competition, assessing student work, or evaluating a grant application — you can no longer assume human authorship from the writing alone.
Writion provides a two-step verification process. The first is the writer's Stage Journey Report — a brief summary of their project's journey. The second is the Provenance Report. If you need a writer to prove that their work is theirs, you don't need to rely on their word alone.
Writion is a business management tool for writers — not a word processor or editing tool. Writers use it to manage their projects, track their creative stages, and record their working activity over time. That activity builds a timestamped record that your organisation can independently verify.
Register your organisation →The Writion Promise. Writion never touches a writer's creative work. The reports contain only business metadata — stage transitions, word count figures, timestamps, and activity counts. No manuscript text, no notes, no drafts, no creative content of any kind is ever shared. A writer's intellectual property belongs to the writer, always. Organisations receive only what is needed to verify the working history — nothing more.
A writer generates this from within Writion and includes it voluntarily with their submission. It shows the project's stage journey, word count history, and a count of key activity events — all with server-generated timestamps that cannot be altered by the writer.
The report includes a unique reference number. This tells you that independent verification is available from Writion if you need it. There is no cost to the writer or to your organisation for this step.
Included with any Writion accountWhen authorship is formally in question, the writer requests this report from Writion. It is dispatched simultaneously — directly from Writion to the writer and to your registered organisation address. The writer cannot alter the copy you receive.
The report contains business metadata only — stage journey, word count history, timestamps, and activity counts. No manuscript, no notes, no creative content. Your organisation must be registered with Writion to receive it.
