For Publishers & Magazines

When a writer submits their work, you can ask for reassurance.

Writers using Writion can generate a Stage Journey Report with every manuscript they submit to a publisher — a timestamped record of the project's entire life. When you register your organisation and need reassurance about a writer's work, they can send you a Provenance Report — an independent reassurance about the writer's authorship.

How it works

Simple, transparent, independently verifiable.

The system is designed so that retrospective fabrication is made extremely difficult — the report travels from Writion directly to you, bypassing the writer entirely.

1
The writer submits
They include a Stage Journey Report with their manuscript submission — a transparent record of their project's stage journey, word count history, and business activity. The reference number on the report tells you independent reassurance is available if needed.
2
You raise a question
If human authorship is formally in question, you let the writer know. The writer goes to Writion and requests a Provenance Report — selecting your organisation from the registered recipient registry.
3
Writion dispatches
The identical report is dispatched simultaneously by Writion to the writer and to your registered submission address. The writer has no ability to alter your copy. You receive the same record the writer sees.
What the report contains

A complete picture of the project's life.

The Provenance Report contains timestamped business activity only — never the manuscript, notes, or any creative content.

Stage journey
Every stage the project passed through, with the date and server timestamp each transition was recorded. You see the complete progression from first draft to submission.
Word count history
Every word count update recorded in Writion — showing how the manuscript grew (or shrank and grew again) over the life of the project. The most compelling evidence of genuine process.
Activity timeline
Number of notes created, documents uploaded, and correspondence events logged — showing the surrounding business activity of a working writer. Counts only; no content is ever included.
Report generation history
Every time the writer generated a Stage Journey Report for this project — showing the timestamps at which they shared their process record. Includes a unique reference number for independent verification.
