Is Writion really free during beta?
Yes — fully free during the beta period with no credit card required. You get access to all features. Paid plans will activate when we launch publicly, and you'll be given plenty of notice before that happens.
What is a Founding Member?
Founding Members are the first 1,000 writers approved to join Writion. They receive 75% off any paid plan for their first 12 months as a thank-you for supporting the platform from the beginning. Applications are reviewed personally by the Writion team.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. If you upgrade mid-period, you'll be charged the difference. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next billing date.
Are prices in New Zealand dollars?
Yes. All Writion pricing is in New Zealand dollars (NZD). There are no currency conversion surprises.
Does Writion include GST?
Pricing shown is exclusive of GST. GST (15%) will be added at checkout for New Zealand subscribers where applicable.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation so you can export it. After that it is permanently deleted. We recommend exporting your projects before cancelling.
Is Writion only for New Zealand writers?
Writion is built with New Zealand writers in mind — the industry directory, pricing and invoicing are all NZ-focused. However, writers from Australia, the UK and further afield are very welcome to use it. The core tools work for any writer, anywhere.
