Writion is an online project management tool for writers, currently serving users in New Zealand. It is operated by Writion New Zealand Limited, based in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@writion.co.nz.
We collect your name, email address, country and password when you register. We also collect the project data, notes, contacts and financial records you enter into the application. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address for that purpose.
Writion is a project management tool. It stores information about your creative work — project titles, stages, notes, client contacts, and financial records — but it does not store your actual manuscripts, documents, image files, or any other creative content. Those files remain entirely on your own device or in whatever storage system you choose to use.
Writion makes no claim of any kind over the creative work you manage through the application. Your intellectual property is yours alone.
We do not access, read, scan, analyse, or use any content you enter into Writion for any purpose other than displaying it back to you. Your information is never shared with third parties for commercial, marketing, or analytical purposes.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Writion service. We do not sell, share or trade your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your country is used to tailor your experience — for example, displaying the correct currency and relevant industry directory listings.
Your data is stored securely with Supabase, hosted on servers located in Sydney, Australia (Amazon Web Services ap-southeast-2 region). This means your data remains in the Australasian region. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
If you are based in New Zealand, you have rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, including the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information.
If you are based in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, including the right to access and correct your personal information and to complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles.

We use functional cookies only for authentication purposes. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Writion uses the following third-party services to operate: Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), and Stripe (payment processing). Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We only share data with these services to the extent necessary to provide Writion to you.
If you subscribe to the Writion newsletter, your name and email are stored in our database. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at support@writion.co.nz. We do not share subscriber data with third parties.
